Solution
I'm not exactly sure what your situation is but have you

1. restarted the computer.
2. After you restart the computer go to settings and update your system
3. Go to control panel and go to uninstall a program and uninstall anything that you want.

I love Windows 10 because I just bought a cheap Canon all in one printer at Wal Mart and all I did was plug it into my PC and the PC detected it and Windows 10 automatically downloaded the drivers and installed them. It works perfectly.
What make and model printer?

How did you go about the uninstall? Some third party tool perhaps?

You may need to go into Task Manager to find and end the "Uninstall"/"Cancel" process or service.

Find it, verify that it is the correct running/stuck process. Then right click and selectl "End task".

HP All in One. Lost the disk in a recent move. New HP laptop(Windows 10 messed up my old one)Went to HP site to download software. Printer would not hook up to internet or laptop. Gave up, got a new printer. BUUUT in the meantime decided to uninstall the software I had downloaded. That was from my program list. Have been through the whole task manager and can't find anything that says HP printer or uninstall/cancel. Hate windows 10 with a passion.
