Uninstall/reinstall drivers? GTX 580 to GTX 970

Have a new GTX 970 coming next week. When I install it, do I need to uninstall Geforce drivers, install the GTX 970, then reinstall Geforce drivers? I'm asking because I'm under the impression that my current GTX 580 and the GTX 970 use the same drivers. Appreciate your input.

no leave them on there then when you are using the 970 go to nvidia and install the latest driver, because when you install the latest drivers it gets rid of the old ones for you automatically

I would uninstall really the 970 is only supported under the last few drivers. Download the new driver then uninstall old driver turn off PC switch cards run the driver you downloaded.. Have fun.

Update to the latest version, shut down and swap the card, re-install the driver.

I went from SLI GTX580 to a single 980, worked fine right off the bat., but they have had two driver releases since then.
