Uninstall Windows 8 and revert to windows 7

I purchased a speed demon flash hard drive and windows 8.

I must be a ludite because after i took one look at Windows 8 i realised i hated it and want to revert to windows 7, but i want to use the speed demon hard drive for windows 7 to get the improved performance.

i kept my old hard drive unaltered so i have put it back into the pc but it will not recognise the speed demon hard drive with windows 8 on it.

how can i get windows 7 to recognise the drive and format it back to the ntfs system?

Just check to see if all it needs is a drive letter assigning to it in Disk Management.
Without a drive letter, Windows Explorer cannot display it.

Sorry about the delay in checking for responses, but i bounced my laptop on the floor and broke it. i only got it back today.

No the disk does not show up in Disk Management. That was the first thing i checked
