How do I fully remove AOL from my system.
I went to add/remove and removed everything that had aol in the title. But I still have aol in my registry. And there are files labeled aol in program files.

Don't install it in the first place.
Seriously.

Otherwise,
1) Don't EVER,EVER,EVER install/buy a comp with AOL
2) Go to search (depending on your version of windows, select all files).
3) Search for "*aol*.*" (no quotes).
4) Delete everything you feel comfortable deleting.
5) Don't come crying when you're comp won't boot or you get errors for your reg entries pointing to files that don't exist <insert disclaimer here>. Refer to 1)

I'd be careful with the registry, if you want to post specifics, I'll let you know if it's safe to remove them.

But you could run "regedit" and Find (ctrl+F) "AOL" no quotes and refer to 4) & 5)

Good Luck

Well if you're going to do that anyways, you might as well hack the reg and delete everything AOL, just to see what happens.

Worth a shot.

You're probably right though, DM, if it has AOL, then it prolly has a bunch of other needless crap too.

Is spamware a word?
