Hi

I am having difficulties with Ubuntu because since installing in a dual boot system with windows 7 my pc has slowed right down when using windows 7 and I wish to uninstall Linux. However I have very limited knowledge on Linux and my pc does not have a cd drive because it is a netbook and from what I have read I need to use the windows 7 installation disc.

I was hoping someone could give me step by step instruction on a way for me to uninstall Ubuntu without affecting windows 7 because I am a bit nervous about doing it as I do not have a clue what to do if I wreck windows 7 and do not know my product key if I did find a way to re-install it without a cd drive. Please note this is my first Linux experience.

By the way it is windows 7 starter and Ubuntu I have on my acer netbook

Thank you very much to anyone who can help me

hello ,

use this program

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

it will tell you your product key.

then goto windows site here :

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/home

and download the right windows , you can put it on flash usb and install from it.

trust me this is alot easier than removing ubuntu and faster.

if you have more Q ask .

it is a nice program .. did not know it existed . it makes things easy for beginners . I never tried it but I think it will work.

be sure to get out your windows key regardless and keep it in safe place in case your windows system crashes or this method does not work properly.

also be sure to download windows iso and burn it or put it on usb flash before doing anything.

if there is a sticker with windows 7 key behind the notebook then yes.

but just in case , use this program

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

it will tell you the key of your current system , write it down.
