I was interested to know if this would work as a front intake fan filter on my CS Storm Enforcer or if it would cause more harm than good.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's impregnated with activated charcoal - if you bend it or roll it over a smooth surface, you'll see fine particles that come loose. That's the stuff that will eventually get sucked into your case. For most of it's intended uses it's not enough to matter, but I don't think you want it on your delicate electronic components.
