Unkickable cheaters ?

Can anyone reflect on the following ?

I run a public server, and i'm always on the edge to kick and ban cheaters
when i'm online myself as this "VAC-secure" seems to be a laugh. One night i
saw another one of those losers with speedhack and continuously changing
names. Tried to kick and ban him, but he seemed to just spawn yet another
one. Tried to kick and ban those aswell and these two seemed to spawn
another two, etc. etc.

It might be an attack from a clan that was pissed off for banning them for
cheating in the first place.

What kind of cheat is this, and how to control this pest ?

Wait until VAC 2 comes out, and then be screwed as well.

Perhaps you need a firewall!

Yup - that's correct!! ---> Set up servers to block for several days! -- My
method -- set up my firewalls to accept/block at designated times during the
week i.e. I do, block entire ISP's. For instance on weekends my firewalls blocks
dozens of would be attackers -- Monday morning -- half a dozen or so are
unblocked.

Seems to me that most (not all) cheaters cheat mostly on (non school days)
weekends!



I run a duel T-1 line -- each T-1 is set up as follow: 2 hardware firewalls per
line and a software firewall for each server -- this way I can block on the fly
using the software firewall

That's exactly the problem, i couldn't. Even though they appeared in my
banlist. And when i tried it seemed to spawn another who began the same
nasty tricks. Within a matter of just a few minutes my server got infested
with cheaters and left me with no other option then to turn of the server
after asking the bonafide players to drop their connection.

There is one clue though: as i looked in the server's console, one nick of
the hacker(s) was: www.davvv.com. Try it and you'll be redirected to an
anti-vac site with links to cheat downloads. I installed all the cheats,
tried to hack my own server locally but none worked, which gives rise to my
suspicion it's an exploit of a vac vulnerability and not of my server as
such, as i have a hardware firewall build in my modem and "vac-secure" does
not work on lan.

there are a couple of movies here showing the latest cheats in action. you
may recognise which they used. one only works on win95/98 machines which are
notoriously unsecure, if that's what they're using perhaps a little
retaliation may be in order?

did you make a demo and f5 a snapshot of the status screen?
if you have thier steam id's you can still submit them to steambans. I

Use an admin mod to kill the cheats at spawn every time they spawn. They
will soon tire of waiting 3 mins + just to be killed again.
Most cheats will get bored very quickly with this, once they have to sit and
watch round after round.
