Good day,
I was setting up a shared folder on my main PC which is wired into the network so my wifi laptop could access it from elsewhere in the house. While doing so I've been clicking on Network in Windows Explorer and I noticed another computer name there. I thought it may have been my son's laptop but I texted him and the name doesn't match.
I can see it on both the PC and the Laptop.
When I click on the computer name it asks for Windows Credentials.

Is this just a computer that someone has running next door perhaps that is discoverable?
I would like to be able to delete/hide it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Change your windows workgroup to a unique name. Change your WIFI password. Use WPA2 for encryption. Disable WPS. Change your router admin password -- to something different than your WIFI password. Better to be safe than sorry.
