This might be a long shot. I have had this cooler for over 10 years now. Got it from a friend. I have no idea what brand or anything about it. I only know that it is very large and can dump heat like nobodies business ^^
I ran cinebench and in less than 20 seconds it dumped the temp from 98c to 35c when test was done. I find it impressive, though i have no idea if it actually is 😅

Can anyone maybe recognise it or maybe steer me in some direction as to what brand made this monster?

Would be nice to know a little about it.

Ignore the noctua fan. Original became whiny, so the noctua is just a replacement.

I vaguely recall reading the reviews for that around when it came out. I was looking for cooling for my i7-950, ended up with a Tuniq 120 Extreme which I still have.

I use it on a i7-4790k. Does a marvellous job at keeping it cool ^^ and yes, my setup is beginning to feel outdated 😅 RAM and gpu are equally old tech. 16 gigs of 1333mhz ddr3 and a 1050ti gpu.

That is how I started looking for it, starting with your Z97 motherboard. Knowing it was an older cooler I assumed it was LGA775 compatible which meant it was also LGA115x compatible. Looked at popular brands from around then until I spotted a Scythe cooler with similar heatpipe detail, then looked through various Scythe images until I found a review.
