Hi everyone,
I am having a frustrating issue with my newish build. My system is constantly freezing/crashing whenever I am playing specific games. World of Warcraft, Total War: Attila, Assassins Creed Unity and even Chris Sawyers: Locomotion! However, GTA V and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will run all day long with no issue's at all. Sometimes I am having issue's when even playing video's whether online or offline.
I have trawled through forum after forum trying different solutions but all have been unsuccessful. I am almost sure it has to be the graphics card. I have sent a support request to Sapphire so I am still waiting for them to respond with an actual solution. At the moment they're asking me to take a picture of when the system crashes/freezes, so all I am sending them a picture of is quite literally a screenshot of my game?! I don't think it is going to help them in the slightest.
Most solutions say my system is over heating but I can assure you it is not. My computer is placed on my work desk right next to a window I can open so it has a nice cold draft directly into the system. My GC has 2 fans and It also has a Corsair H100i on the CPU with no obstructions inside the case for airflow. I monitor temperatures on 2 programs. Corsair Link is showing CPU at 25C (on average) when fans are on maximum RPM, Motherboard is at 35C (on average) and GC is (on average) 40C when fans on max RPM. Asus Suite shows CPU at 28C (on average) and motherboard at 40C (on average) when fans are on max RPM. I have been told those temperatures are very good for my build. You can correct me If you like as I am not too familiar about the optimum temperature for my build.
The only clue so far is very rarely it will come up with an error code I should have saved to write in here but it has something to do with memory. 'Unable to execute memory' or 'Can not write to memory'. Recently Windows came up with the error screen with the ' 🙁 Your computer ran into a problem. something like, Pagefile sys32 file fault.' However, could the system be using the GC 4GB memory or is it using the actual RAM on Motherboard (16GB)??
I have also tried overclocking and underclocking both CPU and GC. I have made sure all drivers are updated even for Windows 10. (problems still occurred on Windows 8.1). However, Overclocking the GC will totally crash the display and will come up with the notification 'Display driver crashed but has recovered. Sometimes the display will totally fail and won't recover. (It is stated this GC can be safely overclocked)
