Unknown gpu issue?

My games without vsync used to get fps rates in the hundreds. All of a sudden the highest i can get on anything is 75. Pc is 6 months old. Still somewhat new to this. Gigabyte Radeon R9 380x

Are the frame rates going lower than usual, or just not getting the same maximum numbers?

Any recent changes with the system? Driver updates?

Yes, getting generally lower frame rates than I'm used to. And yes to the driver updates as well

There might be several reasons:
Overheating is a common issue, especially on gaming. Check with a software if PC is overheating,due to maybe dust buildup.
About the fps drop, it is possible that there's a running process/service, possibly an OEM software or malware.

Check you dont have Vsync enabled, if you go into the AMD radeon settings, go to Gaming, then Global settings.

Make sure Frame rate Target control is disabled, and "wait for vertical refresh" is Off.

I'm not sure what constitutes overheating but my gpu is generally around 53 Celsius. Max 56 Celsius.

Okay nevermind i guess I'm an idiot. At some point i set target to 75 for some unknown reason and i dont remember doing that
