In the past few months my laptop screen has started to flicker at random times (honestly it's more like the digital equivalent of a seizure). It's kind of hard to describe, so I grabbed a couple of videos of it. In the first video the screen is jumping to gray and white screens, and in the second video the screen is holding somewhat close to what it should be. The odd thing is that the issue will pop up for a few days and then disappear for weeks without any warning; I had to grab the videos in the middle of my chem class today.

I personally think that it is either a loose connection in the screen or an issue with the graphics card (overheating maybe?), but I don't have enough experience in this area to be able to tell.

I have an Asus G75VW laptop running Windows 8.1 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M graphics card. I've also included a screenshot of additional specs (Go Speccy!), but I would be more than happy to provide more specs if you believe that you need more information in order to diagnose the problem.

Thank you in advance for helping me solve this problem. This has been bothering me for quite a while now.

I believe you are right. As soon as I posted my question, the issue stopped and hasn't come back. I changed out the filter so the fans are working a little better now, which is keeping the heat down I think. Thanks for the help :)
