Question Unknown key stuck in Lenovo G575. Can't get past POST

Hey everybody,

I have a fairly old laptop that produces the most deafening of beeps after the "lenovo" screen (which if I understand correctly, is the POST screen). This didn't happen until some days ago; I took it to a technician, who told me that there was an issue with the keyboard.

After some research, I'm pretty confident that the issue here is a single stuck key; however, as I can't get past POST nor boot in any kind of live system (as it only beeps), I do not have a way of knowing exactly what key is, in effect, stuck.

How can I fix this?

No snark intended: by replacing the keyboard.

Laptop keyboards are well-known for not aging well. You have the option of trying to gently lift each key on the keyboard if it's not a chicklet type, but if that key's sticking now it will stick again, and sooner rather than later.
