I was looking at the list of startup items in msconfig to see what I can turn off to allow Windows bootup to occur faster. There is one item in the list that I have no idea what it is. I tried to google it but nothing came up (maybe my keywords were not specific enough). Anyway, I am hoping someone might know something.

Startup Item: InstalledTime
Manufacturer: Unknown
Command: 7-16-2016
Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

System Info:
i7-6700K
Gigabyte Z-170X Gaming 7 mobo
2400mHZ Corsair DDR4 memory 32gb
Asus ROG Strix Geforce GTX 1070 8gb
Corsair RMi 1000 PSU
Windows 7 64-bit
Noctua NH-U14S CPU Cooler

Using the program regedit, find the key you mention.
Right click it and export it as a .reg file to a location on your pc - remember where.
Delete the key and reboot the PC.
If there is a problem, use regedit to import the entry back again.

I have tried turning it off and there was no problem booting up and operating normally. I did further research and eventually found a user who saw something similar. He suggested it was related to ASUS GPU Program "GPU Tweak". Sure enough, the command line for this unknown startup item shows the date 7-16-2016 which is the date I installed my new ASUS video card and program.

I have contacted ASUS to see if this is something related to their program. I will post the answer here for anyone who also shared my puzzlement.
