Found a strange item in my startup config inside of msconfig called dupdte.dll, I have a had feeling about this file since it appeared at the time I had to deal with a few viruses. I disabled it on start up and was wondering if it would be safe to delete it outright, as MalwareBytes is coming up as clean with it.

I killed it and deleted it after a Google search came up as it being an infection (Virustotal), it coincided with the virus infection too closely for me to not think of it as such, and I haven't had a problem since I killed it.

It was located in AppData/Local

Scan didn't detect it but apparently did detect a non-functioning homepage changer virus from a year ago, got rid of it, so I think it's safe to say I'm in the clear. I actually used MalwareBytes to kill the infection I was speaking of in the OP, but that file didn't get detected, but yeah, the date of creation was exactly when I got that infection.
