Unlocked phone question

At the moment, i have a plan under tmobile and have a nokie lumia and absolutely hate the phone. I am hoping to buy an unlocked iphone off amazon.

1.) Am i able to do this without changing my current plan?
2.) What else do i have to buy to ensure that it would work?

That is certainly possible since there are 3 sizes widely in use. Larger ones can be cut down, but if you need to move from a smaller to larger, you may need an adapter.
The listing for the phone should tell you what size of SIM it uses.
