unlocked XP1800 posts as 1700

i recently attempted to unlock the multiplier on my athlon XP1800(pally). i used the guide that tom created with the exception of the contact material, i used a cunductive pen with a resistance of 0.2 Ohms. now i am unable to change the multiplier of the system from 11 (stock 11.5).

any idea's

system specs:
Athlon XP 1800 (oc'ed to 1770)
Albatron KX-400
512MB corsair cas2

Its quite obvious... you didnt do the unlocking correctly and something is amiss.

Its not uncommon to tak a couple of tries to get it right (if you are a beginner)
