Unluky CPU or motherboard Problem? help please.

Hi everyone, i really need some help, because i cannot understeand whats the problem with my rig, so i just bought the Asus maximus V formula for OC my 3570k and seems like i ended up with an unluky CPU :(, i need 1.325 for have it full stable @ 4.4ghz, seems like there is no way for me to go UP to 4.5. i tried 4.6 with 1.4 it just keeps crashing, now i'm wonder if is just my unluky CPU or my motherboard just have some kind of problems?, the temps @ 4.4 are ok for me. i got 30-35 idle and 60-65 running OCCT ( with H80), when i tried 4.6 @ 1,4 the temps are still not that bad, 70-80, but as i said after 10min or so the pc crash.
i'm just gonna stay 4.4 with my 3570k until i replace it with something else in some weeks i hope. i really apprecciate if someone could help and sorry for my bad english, i'm italian.

Ah ok. Wel here is a guide. This needs to be done in the BIOS(delete at system start-up).

OK there is a guide, its not really for beginners, so it boils down to...

1. Disable all power saving adn turbo boost features and pick a load calibration, 1 being very stiff and one voltage constantly, 2 being a little more relax(easier to achieve stability), i prefer level 2.
2. Set voltage to fixed at first and drop it to 0.9v. (You can do this with stock cooling as it reduces heat generation)
3. Boot into windows and run prime 95 or similar stresstest to test for stability for atleast half an hour. This will give you an idea of how sensitive your specific CPU is to voltage change. (You can do this with stock cooling as it reduces heat generation)
4. Increase your voltage to 1.2v and multiplyer to 4.2GHz. Test thoroughly for an hour. Keep a close eye on temps with real temp or HWmonitor.

After that you can increase Multiplier one at a time testing for half an hour between each bump. When stability is lost, add 0.05v and try again.

Repeat process until you reach your desired OC or unacceptable temps(drop one clock and/or Voltage) and viola you have your OC...

DO NOT EXCEED 1.3V! Also keep temps under 90C under max load. Although if it touches over it its still fine. It will shut of automatically if it gets TOO hot(103C).

Any questions? The more you know the better. Take it slow, its time consuming but yeah, either that or you scrap components.

i'm sorry mate but, i really apprecciate what you doing for me, can we do a noob guide? please? like step by step swimming around the bios.

i'm pretty sure my 3570k is unluky, 1.2 @ 4.2, it will be really hard, if i use AI suite II my auto Vcore goes to 1.275 @ 4.2.
also i'm really wondering, if you could explain, if one CPu like mine needs high vcore in the OC, what does that mean? simply unluky CPU or motherboard maybe got some problem?

OCing software does not work. These programs ALWAYS give the CPU too much voltage. A BIOS OC will improve those voltages A LOT!

ok, Bios updated, i have all the programs, now i try to swim around and see what i get, i would be happy with something like down 1.3 @ 4.5 fully stable, i'm gonna start 1.2 @ 4,2 and let you know.

ah nothing to do here :(, it was a dream, i started with 1.2 @ 4.2 and PC always crashed, i shut down the PC and add 0.005 every time, after all PC started with 1.500, all good but just after some seconds of the bench, PC crashed, so i keep add 0.005 per time, i ended Up with 1.180, everithing was going good ( i use OCCT) idle where around 28-32. 100% load 47-58 most likely, i was really happy, wasn't that bad. just after 7min or so pc crashed :(, so i'm gonna keep go Up now, but i'm sure i won't run it until 1.240 or so.
because when i auto overclocked with ai suite ii @ 4.4 the auto vcore was 1.325 as i said, so from that, i tried to lower it, because i know the MB always go too high, so i found a good settings with great temps @ 1.275, and i was using it wihtout any problems, but then games like BF3 stop working, so i had to go 1.280 "stop working", i tried 1.285, always "stop working", until 1.290 after hrs hrs of test evrything was good, but then the game stop worked even at 1.290, i tried 1.295, after hours and hours was all good, then it stopped work again, and i gived up.

also, i got a popup msg " WARNING vcore over 1.2" while i was testing now with 1.180,

by the chip, you mean the CPU right?, it might be, aniway no idea, setted it to 1.195 is working everithing well after 15min, i'll leave it goign for the rest of 2h. http://i.imgur.com/07JwBlM.jpg?1?8111

if is the CPU, well i can always buy anothe rone, just hope is not the motherboard.

aniway, i've just changed the vcore the ghz and setted the overclock tuner to X.M.P and the speed step disabled, thats what i did from bios. so it is possible the fact i have something wrong in the bios.
i've setted it @ 1.195, but in teh cpu-z it shows up from 1.176 to 1.184, no idea.
