Unread post in deleted thread

Hey guys,

A few days ago there was a duplicate thread that I responded to. I can't quite remember which one.
Either way, someone else responded too, so I got an email and everything. Before I could read it the thread was removed though. Clicking the link in the email got me a 404.

The thing is that it still shows up as an unread post in the counter in the top right, and there's a flag next to the section the thread was in (Components). I can't get rid of it by reading the thread because the thread is gone.
The box with unread threads is empty, but the counter says 1.

Not a big deal, but it's annoying me. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

contact a mod via pm and have them remove it from your account ..you can contack colgeek or tradesman1
i know for sure those two are mods

Mods can't do anything. What you need to do is to hit the 'Mark all as read' link in the top-right of this page.

It's a really silly little bug, which has been mentioned a number of times, and always takes me a while to remember the workaround. Any chance of getting it fixed one day?
