Well that is sort of the reason for having specs.
However, you always have the option of trying it. Might work on your system but the performance could be very slow....
Overall depends on the risks you are willing to take and the time to recover if things do not work out.
Key is to be prepared to do a system restore and/or recover lost data etc. if things go really bad.
Otherwise, you may at best just need to uninstall.
Perhaps just adding some memory would make a difference. Look at the spec being the most "stressed".
