unreal tornament

why will my ultra and gts cards only go up to 1280 by 768 (gts) and 1280 by 1024 (ultra) ?
the drivers are version 6.5 for the ultra and gts cards and the belinea monitors are able to support up to 2048 by 1536... unoffically though !! but they still go up to 1600 by 1200... so why cant i go up to that res in the game ? any ideas ? game version is 4.36 and every other driver needed is up to date... direct x8 installed...
anyway ideas ? shout !!

6.50 is an old driver version. Unless your card has some really special feature that you absolutely need, you should use nvidias reference drivers. 12.41 is the latest official release and an new one is just around the corner.

Yeah, the official versions are always a few days behind. Start upgrading drivers, and pick up a copy of GTU3.02 at <A HREF="http://www.guru3d.com" target="_new">http://www.guru3d.com</A>.
