Hey guys, i have a weird situation here

so i upgraded my CPU from a Intel i3 4170 to an i5 4460 on a Hp OEM Shave HWS board. Upon the first boot directly after the upgrade my mother board Bios showed a Unrecognized CPU error and shut of. After that, on second i pressed f1 to go into the hardware settings on my bios and found that my i5 was being recognized by the motherboard bios, and i was permitted to boot into windows. after running some CPU tests, all programs were recognizing the CPU, i am using the same system to type this right now. Checking bios updates for my Board but it was already running the most updated one. I can use my pc like this however, i wont be powering of my computer nearly as much.

Any thoughts

Issues like these may happen when you swap the CPU. There may also be some incompatible BIOS settings (e.g. overclocking) between the two processors. In those cases, clearing the CMOS will fix the problem. Once it recognizes the new CPU, then everything should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it.
