Hey guys,

I just did a clean Windows 7 install on my computer. The primary HD was deleted and reinstalled windows 7 on it. I did not touch the secondary hard drive I have with all my backed up important stuff. When I booted up windows, my primary hard drive is shown in my computer window, not my secondary drive. I can not find it. It does show up in bios and shows up in device manager. Any ideas? I have also unplugged the drive and re-plugged it in. Still no luck. Any advice would really help before my wife kills me.

Solution
Well, in your Disk Management, you have a 1TB un-labeled Secondary Hard Drive.
There's the issue.

Create a new label on that one. I'm unsure how, though. Right click on the drive and see what alternatives you get.

Good Luck!
Axel.

It was plugged in when I reinstalled windows 7 on my primary drive. It is plugged in now. Shows up in device manager and bios, just cant see it and access it from my computer

You might have to assign a label to it. Perhaps, it could just be one big chunk of unallocated space.
To do that in Windows 7, just type in Run or the Search Bar;

diskmgmt.msc

How does your harddrive look on there? If it doesn't have a label to it (like C: E: or D: ) you have to assign one.

If you can, it'd be great if you could post an image, so we can see your Disk Management.

Good Luck!
Axel.

I did not know I had to unplug it when I reinstalled windows on my primary. I can not reformat my secondary hard drive, I need all the files on it. 1TB of stuff! Any other options?
