[SOLVED] Unresponsive PS/2 Keyboard with windows 10 PC?

I'm under 20 so I'm pretty inexperienced with PS/2 Keyboards but I'm attempting to get a dell quietkey rt7d5jtw to work with my Win10 PC. I've plugged it into my PS/2 input and launched it and it has power as the Num Lock has lighten up however the keyboard is unresponsive and no other lights (caps & scroll) can be switched on. I've gone through the regedit fix but still no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks for the quick response, it appears that after multiple restarts and a quick browse through the BIOS it has decided to work now. I'm not sure why now but I'll keep the thread in case your solution helps anyone else

All PS/2 devices have to be connected when computer is started.

Connected is past tense of connect so it's same as "before it's started" otherwise I would say "connect DURING the startup".
