unsolicited interference loading sites

Whilst playing word games and Majong on Google Chrome in Windows 10, I am having video & DVd sites loading behind the page I am on. It interferes with everything. I do not play DVD's or watch films on my computer. 2 of the sites are |Digit and |Broadaster Channels. I have to shut down what I an doing to delete them, and it takes a while. What can I do?
