had repeated random BSOD, sometimes after running the system for several hours, sometimes days apart. brought it to a microcenter and they found nothing wrong with the hardware. they replicated the BSOD, reinstalled windows, updated all drivers and BSOD continued. specs:
CPU: A8 6600K Black Edition 3.9GHz Quad-Core Socket FM2
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Motherboard: Asus A88XM-E Micro ATX FM2+
RAM: A-Data XPG V2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R7 260X 1GB
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

could be a Power supply issue that's what it usually ends up being for me anyways. Have you tried switching it out with a different one to see if it makes a difference?

it's at microcenter again for the 3rd or 4th time. i bring up the power supply, but they insist that all the hardware functions well including the power supply. but i will suggest that they replace it with another to see what happens. the problem is that the BSOD are sometimes weeks apart, so i guess it would be hard catch. below is the message from one of the last bsods:
"a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. if this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. if problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options and then select safe mode.
