[SOLVED] Unstable Computer (NEW)

My setup is an Asus Pro B460M-C with an Intel Core i7 10700k 8-core 3.8ghz with a 500w PSU.

I imagined the system with W10, installed all the drivers and it works great.
I unplug and move the system to another location, now windows doesn't boot. BIOS appears on the screen, but after that, nothing.

Reimaged again, reinstalled everything, left running for hours and it worked perfectly fine.
Moved locations again, and same issue occurring. Tried bringing it back to its original location and nothing.

Any ideas what is going on?

If I was using x2 DDR4 3200 MHz sticks on the B460 MOBO. Would that be causing my issue?

No, 2-4 sticks of Ram is optimal. and 3200 is fine for a 10700k.

Okay - I was looking at the specs on the B460 and saw this

You are right, that motherboard may not be able to support the 3200 mghz speed of the RAM. You need to go into BIOS and set XMP to 2933mghz instead. That is definitely supported.

Which Z490 would you one would you suggest?

I believe this would work well, unless you need a micro atx.

Got a new MOBO and PSU and still won’t boot. I haven’t reformatted the HDD yet but now I’m wondering if the image is the cause?

You should definitely reformate if you get a new motherboard, that is standard practice.
