Unstable ping in battlefield 1

1. Are you on wifi? Try changing the wifi channel on the router.
2. Is anyone else sharing your internet connection? Get them to stop streaming porn (or Netflix) while you play.
3. Reboot (power cycle) your modem (cable, dsl, or whatever you have) and router. See if that fixes the problem.
4. Are you sure you are connecting to BF servers in your region?

All I can think of at the moment. It's Christmas with family and I've been few drinks in since about lunch time :)

Happy holidays!

MERGED QUESTION
Question from hhjkkh10 : "Super high ping in battlefield 1"

When I start up a multiplayer match in bf1 my ping is normal at 30ms. But then it all of a sudden goes up to over 400 all the time and rarely drops back down.
I have tried port forwarding
I have checked my firewall
I have disables origin in game and cloud saves
I hav tried to reinstall the game
I have changed my routers wireless channel
Have also tried to run origin and bf1 as admin

NOTES: I have a wireless connection, I can stream 4k videos so my WiFi is fast, I only lag in bf1 and not csgo or planetside 2.

Thankyou to anyone who does help :)

If you happen to own an iPad or iPhone, I use it for a quick and dirty "Wifi survey". Apple's AirPort Utility" app (free) has a :Wifi Scanner" capability if you enable it in the Settings. In Settings, look for "Air Port Utility", and turn on the button labeled "Wifi Scanner".

Go near your PC, open the AirPort utility, and you'll now see a "Wifi Scan" label on the top right. Tap that, then tap "Scan".

Let it go for a good 30 seconds, then tap "Stop". The list of wifi networks is sorted by relative signal strength, and it shows the wifi channel used by each one. As a "bonus", tap the "(i)" icon at the bottom of the list. You now have a neat summary of which wifi channels are in use, and how many networks are using each channel.

I use this to de-conflict my wifi from time to time and it has proven very useful. Best of all, the app is free (assuming you have an iPad or iPhone).

Could you report a bit about what you saw when you ran inSSIDer or other wireless tool? What channel you are on. Who else shares that channel? InSSIDers link score or other measure of noise like signal strength ?

You might try using a hard wired ethernet connection (cat 6 cable between router and your system) to see if the latency goes away once you are not wireless.
