Hello Community,

I have 2 computers at home.

1 - With Ethernet cable: Super Stable internet connection, no problems in general.

2 - With USB WiFi adapter Netgear WNA 3100.

The 2nd computer have some stability issues that appear as high Ping while playing League of Legends. While doing a speed test i can see these kind of "bumps" on the graph provided by the OOKLA speed test and I believe that they are pretty much normal, cause my Netgear USB adapter is quite old and wasn't very expensive etc etc.

THE ACTUAL PROBLEM

I am thinking of connecting Computer #1 with WiFi as well, because the Ethernet cable is running through the living room. I am not planning to be cheap about it and I am thinking buying this ASUS PCE-AC68 Wifi adapter.

Although I am afraid that there is a chance that my ZTE ZXHN H108N Modem-Router (given by the internet provider - Vodafone Greece) is the actual problem, and it doesn't provide a good enough WiFi signal, therefore my 90 Euro ASUS PCI adapter is going to be as bad as my old one.

THE QUESTION

How can I test how good is the WiFi signal provided by the Modem Router before I go and buy a new and expensive PCI WiFi adapter?

Well, the router at the moment is at the same room with the Computer, but when i get my home office set up, It won't be.
