After overclocking my Q9550 to 3.40ghz about 3 weeks ago, I've been getting several different BSODs. Is it a normal overclocking risk everyone is willing to take? (Win8.1 Pro)

Some programs (including Operating systems) don't respond well to overclocking. You may have also damaged your chip, causing instability. I can't play Rainbow Six Siege when I Overclock My Chip.

Try taking off your OC settings and see how your system runs.

I have ran on stock 2.83GHz for like a day before, but didn't run into any issues. However the blue screens aren't an everyday thing, more like twice a week. Will try going non-overclock for a week tho.

I've come to the conclusion that my processor is bein bottlenecked by my 1050ti, overclocking he cpu made everything even more unstable. Things settled down on their own however
