Hello,
i brought a new system Dell Inspiron N 5010. When i am trying to open a dos based program, it is showing unsupported 16 bit application. It is advicing to take support from the vendor of the software to ask the 64 bit windows compatible version. i dont have the vendor details. pls help

You'll need to run the app in a Virtual Machine - such as XP Compatibility mode, or VMWare, etc...

16 bit code will not run in 64 bit Windows: One of the reasons mentioned for this limitation is there are 32 "significant" bits on software 'handles'. A 16 bit app cannot process them, and they can not be shortened without data loss.
