[SOLVED] Unsure about pci connections

Hello, I recently got an old asus r9270x 2g, and am installing it only my computer. The issue I'm having is that my 650w evga power supply has 1 pci e rail with 2, 6 pin heads that have 2 small pins with them. The gpu has 2, 6 pin connectors on it. Should I use one rail and attach both heads on the gpu or is this incompatible.

Thats how it looks like. Should I use the 6+2 pin to connect the you or both 6 that are on the single rail. Iam unsure as it has 12 pins available

You put on the one side the single 8pin in the PSU, the other two 6+2pin in the GPU which you will leave out the two +2pin hanging. So it will be 8pin in psu and 6+6 in gpu
