Unsure of desktop to purchase (Acer or HP)

Hi, I was looking at getting a HP Pavillion 500-250ea / 500-120ea or an Acer ATC 105. The only differences I can see are that the Acer used AMD instead of intel and has the NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 1GB graphics card (I was going to get a new graphics card anyway, as I'm using all this to start building my own PC)
I'm all new to this but I'm really looking into building myself a decent desktop PC or the odd but of gaming etc, so any hints or tips would be very much appreciated

My max budget all together would be £1,000. I'd go to maybe £1,250 but it'd have to be somewhere that then offers financing
(This is including the monitor)
