So I've decided on most of my PC parts, but I'm still unsure of my motherboard. At the time of writing, I have a Gigabyte GA-G1.SNIPER Z97 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. I chose this mobo mostly for it's audio chipset, but as this is my first PC build I'm not sure it was an entirely sound decision. I would appreciate advice and recommendations for a motherboard or for assurance that I've picked the right motherboard.

This is what I'm looking for:

  • - ATX
    - LGA 1150
    - Overclock friendly (I chose an i5-4690K CPU)
    - A decent or good quality Audio Chipset.

Here's a list of my current parts list if it helps: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wbTr8d
Advice on other parts would be appreciated as well.

If it has the features you want it to have, and it is a price you are willing to pay, then you probably have the right motherboard for you.

As for if the motherboard is a good one, find some reviews on the motherboard, and read what the reviewer thought about it. I find that normally just reading the conclusions page will give you a pretty good idea of what they thought about the thing.

You can also pull up Newegg.com and/or Amazon.com, and read the reviews of the people that have purchased that same motherboard. The other thing to do at those 2 sites is to look at the ratings the people have given to that motherboard. If there is a rating of less than 4 stars or eggs, you might want to look for something else. If you find a rating of...
