Hello,
When I try and launch Dead By Daylight via Steam, I get a strange pop up box " Untrusted system file (C;\Windows\System32\dsound.dll) "

Solution

Sounds like a DirectX problem to me, did you try reinstalling it using the DXSETUP.exe that you can find in the Dead By Daylight steamapps folder (Steam install directory\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.exe)

Try turning off Windows Firewall and Antivirus, try to verify game files while launching steam as admin.
Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04ohXaVh0s0
"In most cases this can be fixed by running the following command with Adminstrator rights:
sfc /scannow"

First off, thanks to all of you who responded. I usually rely on Toms hardware for fixes but whew, this one is so strange.
And it happened after I switched from using Avast firewall to windows firewall(2 firewalls running no good).
So I turned off both firewalls, antivirus, opened steam via Admin, verified integrity of files and no sucess.
