Hi everyone, excuse me if this is the wrong place to put this thread, I'm new to this forum.
I want to ask something.
One day, I noticed that my PC's fan was spinning faster than usual, and also it was louder than usual, so I decided to take a look at the inside. There were some dust inside, not so many, but I cleaned it anyway.
When I'm about to clean it, I unplugged some components from the motherboard, here's the list of components that I unplugged (as far as I remember) and I also post the image in case I spelled the name wrong.
- 20+4 pin power cable; http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/all20plus4.jpg
- 4 pin peripheral power cable; http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/peripheralindex.jpg
- ATA cable
- CPU fan and its cable
- 4 pin +12 volt cable; http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/eps4plus4.jpg
- RAM (2x DDR2 1024MB, different brand)
- VGA
I actually only cleaned the CPU fan, and then put all of the components back, but after I cleaned it up, my CPU began to make some unusual behavior. Here's the list of unusual behavior that I noticed;
- Usually there's a 'boot up sound' when I turned on the PC, but now there's only the CPU fan's sound.
- Not sure how to say this, but after some time playing games, my GPU starts to make some static, like the static that TV make when there's no program, but it's still showing the graphics.
- Usually my CPU's temperature is on 35-37 degree Celcius, and the maximum temp I got when playing games is only around 39-42 degree Celcius, but somehow it's now around 40-50 degree Celcius when I'm playing games, although the maximum temp I got is only 52 degree Celcius.
And this is my PC spec, in case it's needed;
- CPU : AMD Athlon X3 455 (3.3GHz, 3 core)
- RAM : 2x 1024MB DDR2, the one is Kingston and the other one is Corsair
- GPU : Nvidia GeForce 210 2GB DDR3
- Mobo : BIOSTAR A780LE
- PSU : 850W, forgot the spec and will post the pic soon
- HDD : SEAGATE 160GB
- DVD-ROM : SAMSUNG, forgot the serial
Based on the spec and the list of components that I unplugged and plugged back, is there anything that I shouldn't have unplugged or anything that I might need to plug other than those components? (since those are the only components I remember unplugged, I can't be sure if there are any other components that I unplugged, but you guys can try to guess, in case I forgot that the cable is plugged or not).
Any help would be appreciated, and sorry for my bad english, in case you guys don't understand, I'll try my best to make another explanation of the problems, and thanks in advance.
