Hello,

So I've noticed a weird noise coming from my PC when I watch videos and or gaming. I, therefore, suspect it's my GPU. But have no idea why

Below is a recording of the noise, if anyone can help me. I'd be very much appreciated

I've had the Rog Strix 3090 for a while now, and it's more recent that it started happening, but has been doing this for a few months now. When it's idle, you hear nothing

how often is it? its not constant, you would think only moving parts on a GPU is the fans.
check how well they spin. try stopping one at a time and see if clicking stops.

Can you use a piece of rolled up paper and listen down it to isolate the sound?

are you using 2 different PCI cables?

Hi,

So I am using two PCI cables instead of the single one. Share the load en-all.

It's constant and defo not the fans. After reading some other posts, I think it maybe coil whine. But it was just fine when I got it and for months after. While in a game, it can be constant, or if I'm moving/looking around, the sound changes. Going louder, more intense, or quieter. When I leave the game, it stops.

Or say when I play Minecraft, if I open up the map, the noise stops instantly.

It's also not a clicking noise, but a buzzing.

it might be coil whine

every time i watch videos on it, I can't hear anything... over my pc. So its possible I have it now.

One answer seems to be move PC further away or change its angle
