Unusually High Memory Usage

For some reason, it seems after leaving my PC idle for a while the RAM begins to fill up :\. I'm not sure if this is due to a broken page file (although it seems to work fine). I began noticing it a while ago, however I haven't yet had an "out-of-memory" error.

nothing seems an issue here, just the lack of closing things down.

i also note the lack of a pagefile .... as in it is SMALL ... if you have a system managed pagefile, then your hdd is full?
you should manually set pagefile size to twice your RAM total + vram, eg you have 8GB RAM and a 4GB 1050ti .. your pagefile should be: (8 x 2) + 4 = 20GB.
since you have so little pagefile size, windows has no option but to use RAM?

My pagefile is system managed, which seems to be working fine. If needed the system would expand it, IIRC. Edge is open with one tab only, however after closing Edge the usage only went down form 7.2GB to 7.1GB.

EDIT: However I have just set page file to 12,228MB (I follow the old rule of thumb 1.5x RAM, instead of some people who do 2x).

yea, the problem is not closing apps, its suspending them to standby, still taking up your RAM .... hopefully now you have a pagefile, it can suspend stuff to sit there instead of in RAM. but it still feels a little 'off' to me, maybe you have a 'booster' program running that forces programs to remain in RAM instead of being suspended to pagefile?

Lazorlord, looks a little odd because I don't see a lot of LAN activity, but try this: (besides closing out applications you aren't actively using)

This is regarding a possible memory leak issue that can occur in some configurations:

Go to:

http://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/category/other-downloads

The INF package is what you want.

You uninstall the ENTIRE killer suite.

reboot

If the device isn't found automatically, go into device manager and add the driver there manually from the INF package. If you don't know how to use device manager to install drivers, watch a few youtube videos on it. It's pretty easy.

Sorry but this doesn't apply to me. At least I think it shouldn't. I've got the latest drivers and have previous had the old ones. I never had the memory leak, due to my specific configuration. Although the newest drivers us much less CPU for me.

Nope. No 'booster' program lying around. I'm very careful about that stuff. Lol, the only memory reg change I did was this. Doesn't seem to make a different on or off, I think.

Lazorlord, do you see "killercontrolcenter" and "killernetworkservice" in your picture above? The suite can be a problem for some people. The INF is for the bare driver only. Your standard driver installation file installs A LOT more than just the bare driver. If you are one of the people whom suffers from said memory leak, going to only the bare driver fixes that.

I don't seem to have the memory leak (never did and without the control centre (AKA standard driver install) I still have the same usage problem), however the usage seems to be allot less with the pagefile now set to 12GB. Also this is the latest driver from Killer's website which reportedly doesn't have the memory leak issue. Again, I'd like to state this issue was noticed recently (all PC drivers were installed so it could be due to a Windows Update :/.
