I was using Musicmatch to play music files. The program loads on startup. I am
changed to a different music player and have deleted Musicmatch using the
delete programs section on XP. But on boot up I get a folder icon of
Musicmatch that loads during startup. There are no files in the folder. Please
help me stop the remnants of this program from loading when I start my
computer.

msconfig. should work. You can also try this.

Open up the start menu and go to "Set Program Access and Defaults". Choose
"Custom" and then you can set which program you want to be used.

Also: Go to the 'Start' icon and right-click, then choose explore all users.
This way you can track down any left over files and get rid of them. You
should find a folder named 'musicmatch', that could be the culprit. Just
don't accidentally erase your music if its in the Musicmatch folder!

Hi

Have a look in msconfig>startup to see if that folder is referenced there.
If so, uncheck it and then reboot your system.
