Up and coming Intel Processors?

I am looking to build a new computer in the next couple of months and I wanted to see if there were any new processors coming out between now and then. I pulled up the Intel roadmap really didn’t understand what I was looking at so I thought I would ask here.

If I was buying today, I would go for an I5-750 or an I7-920. I’m looking for a 32nm processor.

Any suggestions on what I should look into would be appreciated.

I don't think we will be seeing any 32nm quads until Sandy Bridge arrives latter this year early next year.

If you must have 32nm then you will have to look at the dual core ranges from the Core i3 and i5 5XX & 6XX lines (Core i5 750 is 45nm).

Looking at the Intel roadmap now would be a good time to go for the i5-750. I would avoid the i7 because it does not offer enough additional performance for the extra cost.

i would wait and see on the i7 as their price might drop later this year
