Update a bios with a cpu it wont support untill it is updated?

So I want to replace my 9 year old machine and am ordering parts now. I have bought an Asus H110M-A/M.2 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and was going to get an i3 6100 cpu when I notice I can get the i3 7100 for just 2$ more.

But, to support the 7th gen cpu the bios will need an update.

Can i put in the 7100, boot up the bios, and update it? Or do i need a 6th gen cpu to begin with? (Man that would suck)

Intel opted not to create an H210 SKU, as low-end Skylake chipsets are already filling the market space that H210 would otherwise occupy.

You might consider getting an H270 or B250 motherboard for Kaby Lake CPU.
