Update bios on asus

i want to update my asus F1A75-M..i downloaded bios (***.rom),

but i dont know how to install it...ive read somewhere that i can do it from windows

with "asus update" program..but immedietly after i run it,

i get "messed graphics screen" and my pc restarts....can i do it any other way? pls help me

there is another way, use the motherboard install disk and install ASUS AI Suite II from it.
there is an option in there that lets u update the bios in the OS.

U can use ASUS EZ flash 2 utility from BIOS.

Can u boot in the windows?

U must use correct version of the BIOS, or u can disable your mobo at once.

Than go to section 2.1.2 and follow the instructions. That is the safest way to do it.

It's easy and use ASUS EZ Flash 2 as mentioned - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/289507-30-what-flash

In short, if you have no problems then my best advice is NOT to flash.

Examples 'when to flash':
1. CPU requires newer BIOS version
2. Non-OS Instability
3. Peripherals e.g. 2TB HDD requires new BIOS.
4. Memory compatibility ; where current RAM is causing errors or stability.

Never, never, never update your BIOS from Windows. You need the AFxxxU.exe DOS program from ASUS site. I usually copy the flash program and BIOS.rom to the C:\ drive and boot to NTFS4DOS boot disk. Run the flash program from the C:\ DOS prompt.
