So M5A78L-M USB3 doesn't support FX-6300 with the BIOS that it comes from, but works with newer update. So my computer is going to come soon and my question is,is it going to run somehow so I can atleast update the BIOS.I have heard that I am going to need another cpu that is supported by the version that the BIOS comes with, but I do not have any other CPU.Is there any other way to update bios?

No if the BIOS thats on the mobo now doesnt support the CPU you cant update it. Unless the mobo supports USB BIOS flashback.

If you've got the mobo now look at the sticker on it. What are the last 4 numbers on it?

If its not 1401 or higher, then the only options you have are take it to a shop. Or buy a CPU it supports then flash it

FX-6300(FD6300WMW6KHK),3.5GHz,6C,95W,rev.C0,AM3+ ALL 1401
