[SOLVED] Update chipset cuestion

Hello i have this old pc and rigth now i cant replace it.
Gigabyte ga-ma78gm-us2h (rev 1.0)
Phenom 2 x4 940
Gskill ddr2 2x2gb
Wd blue ssd 500 gb
Radeon 3200 onboard video
Win7 64bits
.The thing is that i gonna buy a cheap video card (gigabyte geforce gt 1030 oc 2gb) my cuestion is: i have old chipset drivers (maybe 2009) but the pc works fine, should i install the latest chipset por amd780g from amd website before install the gt 1030? Or install the gpu and see how it works and maybe update the chipset drivers? Thank you!

Why wouldn't you update chipset drivers ? More than likely they also contain IGPU driver but you are not going to use it any more anyway. It really doesn't matter when you update driver for it.

Hey ! Thanks for the reply. Sound like i have to update to the newest chipset drivers (2020) whitout doubts .
