Why would anybody want a system with those specs?

I'm just saying that by beinbg a liar you dilute your point. Yes this is a system at a good price. But quit trying to make it sound like a smart deal, just a good deal, and not one that costs $600.

John with all due respect you are so wrong and you know it, when you go shopping at the store you see a 50 inch TV for $800, you don't think about tax, you think about what a great deal and then you tell your wife or whoever that you paid $800 for it. Tax is something that you exclude from the conversation. That system costs $600 + tax, and it's a good/smart deal and if I decide to sell it on ebay I will easily make $250 - $300 on it. So I am not lying about the price, it's you who is dilusional.

Good deal is when you buy something for about $50-$150 off
Smart deal is above that.

I usually tell people what I paid for something if they have the direct means of checking how much I paid for it you donkey.

It's always darkest just before it goes pitch black.

at least he isnt claiming that dell makes all their own processors and motherboards hehehe.

disclaimer - rebranded by dell does not mean they built them!

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal

PC2100 isnt that bad...that is if it is running cas2-2-2....which most of the higher end ddr doesnt officially support yet and run stable (especially if you are overclocking)....but I think at the end of this month there will be ddr333 available from mushkin according to their site that is 2-2-2...
as far as buying from dell...not a bad deal...but it would take someone with an ak held to my head before I went out and purchased a pc =]...
and some of the prices you listed for your products are actually cheaper on pricewatch..ie p4 2.4 533fsb on pricewatch 188 bucks
but then again I guess it serves its purpose and you do get a warranty and dell tech support (<-----lol)...so not a bad deal

1) When I see a 50inch TV for $799 and the salesman says its under $800 I find it hard not to laugh. As if the number is not able to speak for itself.

2) Pricewatch now includes shipping just because of this point that you are on the wrong side of. People are tired of being lied to. Interstate shipping excludes tax 90% of the time. All-in prices are in. If there is tax, say so.

not sure I understand your remarks but the cost includes shipping....and if you purchase something out of state you do not pay taxes on the product...this is the final price
187.99 to be exact from econopc....

first of all I already mentioned that the memory is DDR2700, that was my mistake.

second of all the price you found on pricewatch was for OEM and not including shipping the price I gave was for retail.

yea, price difference retail vs. oem is $8, for that money you get 3 year warranty and a heatsink w/ fan. don't know what you trying to prove here, but it's irrelavant

in three years I would hope to have something different...three years ago I was running an amd 350 cpu and it was phenominal at the time....lol....I think I kept it for maybe two years and even if it did explode, it was so out of date I could purchase another for about 30 bucks haha...this is my point

or you could get a replacement for free... anyway you really missing on the point $8 doesn't make any difference it's still hella cheap system... $350 for P4 with 256MB RAM 40GB HD and G4 can't find a better deal (w/out monitor)

ok...ok...I will compromise since I have no more bad things to say =]....yea you got a good deal...a good strong point for your purchase is that it will be alot easier to sell to someone once you did want to get rid of it because it is a name that everyone knows.....not everyone will trust your work but they will if it says Dell on it....nice argueing with ya =]
