Very frustrated with windows updates, is this common.

HP Pavilion Pentium - Windows 7. Can't update to sp1. As I have a program that requires sp1.
I finally installed a sp1 version in another partition (was sp1 so no update was requied). When I want to use that one application I boot to the sp1 partition. All my other apps are on the non sp1 partition.

HP Envy 700-215xt - Windows 10 home version always hung at 32%. After numerous hours and days working with Microsoft, I purchased the pro (64) edition so I could shut off the updates.
I can't update this version either.

As long as I don't update my PCs are ok.

Is this a common problem with Microsoft Windows ???

I am just curious...why do you want to use a non-supported OS? There aren't even any security updates for the version of Windows 7 that you are running!!!!

But to answer your question directly, no. The problems that you are having updating your computers are unique to you and other people are not experiencing them. You should start two separate threads so that you can get your issues worked out.
