Update installs but won't go away!

I installed the "security update for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1" from 10/13/09 through windows update. About 30 seconds after it says installation complete I get a notification that the same update is ready to download. The update DID install properly according to the log, so I don't know why the updater is stuck in a loop. Thoughts?

try rolling back to before the update was installed

Hmmm... That's weird, can't find the update in programs/features->view installed updates

do a system restore to a date before these updates where installed

You can do a custom install and tell it not to notify you of that update again.
