Having some issues with virtual servers that are running windows 8. Something about a recent update is not being liked and causing the servers not to run. if I reboot the server and run it in safe mode I'll get the message "failure configuring Windows updates, Reverting changes" Once it completes it's stable and usable again; however, after a restart it will try to update and end up failing again.
I've tried to go into Change PC Settings, Windows updates and manually install the updates 1 by 1 to find the culprit. But... It's not what I'm used to in say Windows 7 where I get a list of the updates to be installed and get to manually choose which update I want to run. I've google searched and they all seem to lead me to the same place with no solution.
Any ideas of how I can install 1 update at a time? I've ran into this issue before on windows 7 machines that were pulling several updates at once and was able to fix it by installing them in the order I want instead of everything at once.
Thank you for any and all information.
