It's here again, update time at Livin-It-Up, and a nice one at that.
First, yet another new staff member comes to Livin-It-Up. If I must say so
myself, one of the best things about this site is that we do have a large
group of people which makes for a great diversity in taste, talent, and
creative ideas... not to mention some huge updates from time to time. This
time, please join us in welcoming Dex_Tripp, a self proclaimed punk, to the
site. His debut brings a variety of new Sims2 object colour options
including, but not limited to, surfaces, electronics, musical instruments,
plumbing, decor, bedding, and lighting, a big ole batch of various items.
Welcome Dex!
Continuing with the latest colour options for Sims2, Bluegenie2 offers her
latest, the "Oreo" set. Themed after none other than one of our favorite
cookies, it's quite a nice rec-room/study area. Plenty of seating, surfaces,
rugs, decor, build mode items and more to create a pleasant place for
recreation or relaxation. Vix brings you some great sofa/chair trios in a
variety of eight colors as well as accenting curtains. Asif delves into
Sims2 objects this time with quite a few nice nursery pieces for the little
ones available in either green or peach with some fun fabric textures and
playful juvenile paintings. Someone requested card table recolors (Note that
we don't "do requests", but we certainly love to hear them and recently
started a section of our forum just for them) and, Huntress stepped up with
a nice variety of them as well as a couple new vanities for University, new
swing set, chair, and even more new colors for the bathroom stall. Even Slim
slipped in with a new tapestry for your wall.
A new subsection is added to the site for this update, "Sims" which is a
short way of saying "Packaged Sims". A section just for complete characters
for Sims2. Kicking it off is Slim with a few celebrities, Vin Diesel, The
Terminator, Elvis, and even Slim himself simminized.
New Sims2 clothing for the skins section too. Twenty new dresses for the
ladies by vix in some colorful, yet tasteful geometric patterns perfectly
fitting a young lady, or she who's young at heart. Slim, saying "hot" feels
redundant with these. New ladies night shirt, and no, not that baggy ole
thing your mom wears, sexy swimwear in black, some undies we felt the need
to hide bits of for display on the site and mark with a big ole "M" for
mature, one perfect for her night on the town in that hot black mini, and
even a Pink Floyd shirt for the guys.
In the BodyShop section, fourteen new eye colors, Lachelle brings some
designer contacts, and some creepy animal eyes from Cravze. New eyeliner by
Lachelle, "Hepburn", haircolor, a mask and skin tone by Slim (another in
need of our "M" designation), and a pair of scaly alien skin tones by
Cravze.
Walls and floors for Sims2, a bunch of them at that from Cravze, vix, Asif,
Bluegenie2, and Slim. A large variety of brick styles and colors, wallpaper,
stone, and tile. Even another request filled, a batch of decrepit walls in
stone, tile, and wood siding, floors too.
Five more awesome new Sims2 homes from Similis this time. Her "3 Bedroom
Trailer", "Grand Estate", "Country Cottage", "Dream Home", and "Luxurious
Home". As always, fine architecture.
The Sims players will be glad to hear Mhari's been busy again. Three fine
new sets for this update. The Windham bathroom and living room pair in
beautiful blues, and the more natural, wood, SubUrbana living room set.
Skins too, for the ladies and little girls some beautiful traditional
dresses, skirt outfits, and even a stylish formal evening gown. More great
walls, floors,and roofs as well. Cravze kicked in a few of his own items for
The Sims too, a variety of walls and floors.
It's been a while since our D.I.Y.(Do It Yourself) section has seen any new
pieces, but no, it's not been forgotten. Mhari adds four new base objects, a
variety of bookcase styles in white, ready for your recoloring pleasures.
Wow, that was a mouthful... In closing, just a gentle reminder (I hate
begging), our operation costs for the site are huge, as in close to what I
paid monthly for my first house. We love what we do, and perhaps more so
love being able to share it with all of you. Every month we get some very
generous folks to which we owe our mere existence donating to the site.
That's great, and as you can see, we've scraped by to this point. Problem is
that donations are typically a one time thing, maybe one user in every five
to ten thousand users, yet our bill is repetitive. I never ask until we
really need your support, and we certainly do and we thank you in advance
for your support!
