Hello, I am thinking of updating my motherboard and cpu the mother board I am thinking of is gigabyt GA-990FXA-ud5 amd9 series ATX, socket AM3+ AMD 990FX chipset 2000MHZ ddr3 (O.C.). CPU I want is AMD FX 9590 and a new version of windows 7. what I have now is a Gigabyte GA-770t-usb3 AM3 with a 700 watt power supply. I want to add a new Hard drive atleast 1Tb not sure whats a good hardrive. I have also a NZXT mid tower case. Question is how hard is it to install a new mobo and install windows 7 and the hardrive? cpu shouldn't be that hard and a 700 watt power supply should be enough for the new cpu. probably some new memory too. so any help as to how to do it or any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks in advance

You can certainly build a new system, and the assembly is not particularly hard.

For a hard drive, I would recommend a Western Digital Black or Blue in the 1 TB size. You should also consider an SSD for the OS.

I have owned many AMD products, but I would not go with the FX9590 if I was building now. The Core i5 4690 is a good general purpose processor, but you will need a different MB to go with it.

Below is a link to a guide that goes through how to do the build, as well as the Windows installation.

Warning: This power draw of this CPU is almost twice that of the average CPU. Due to this, AMD recommends using at minimum a 1000W power supply. For cooling, AMD recommends using either either closed loop liquid cooling or full system liquid cooling.
